Earlier this week it was announced that the G.O.O.D. Music family would be performiong their hit single, “Mercy,” at the 2012 BET Awards on July 1st. Last night Pusha T. was in the FunkMaster Flex show, on New York’s Hot 97 and gave the release date for the G.O.O.D. Music collaborative album, Cruel Summer.
My homie Prote-J has released the first single from his new mixtape, Me Versus Time, J, who produced the track himself, before I heard the trackhe described it to me as; Adele meets Kanye West, meets Coldplay, meets Drake, and you can definitely hear all those influences on the track, and I’d even throw a little bit of Kid Cudi in there as well.
Kid Cudi, real name Scott Mescudi, who was last seen slitting his wrists and cursing out his label, which was followed by a threat to do another WZRD album before he continued his Man on the Moon announced the title of his new album on his twitter page, @WizardCud, today and said it will be “his version of the Chronic 2001.”
As we told you on Monday, Kid Cudi performed on, The Voice, last night along with Dia Frampton on her song that they did together, “Don’t Kick the Chair.” Last night the show went from 8 performers to the Final 4, and had the Final 4 from last year perform on the show, and Dia and Cudi kicked the show off!
Kid Cudi is back! He dropped a new song moments ago on Complex.com and FunkMaster Flex premiered it on New York’s Hot 97. I guess Mr Mescudi is back to his old ways, cause obviously with the title he talks about drinking in the song, and even has a line about “Molly,” which is another name for MDMA, AKA Ecstasy, which A LOT of rappers seem to be talking about these days. Oh well.
