Updated: Confirmed Report: Three Auburn Football Players Shot Dead at Party, Three Others Injured

Sad news out of Alabama this morning, there are reports stating that three Auburn football players were shot at a party at an apartment complex by the campus. These unconfirmed reports note that two of the three players have died due to their wounds. Information on the shootings is scarce at the moment, but WSFA 12 News in Alabama is reporting that there has only been a shooting, and is working to confirm the identify of those involved.

Update #1 4:00 a.m. –  Ed Christian and Ladarious Phillips have died from the shootings, and Eric Mack is in critical condition, reports news producer at WKRG News 5 in Mobile.

Update #2 2:24 p.m. – At the 1 p.m. (local time) press conference, details of the shootings were released. At 10:03 p.m. a call came in for a fight and shooting at an apartment complex near the University of Auburn.

They have not caught the suspect, but have recovered his car. Desmonte Leonard has already been charged with three counts of Capital Murder, and are requesting he turn himself in.

The deceased have been confirmed: Ed Christian, Ladarious Phillips, and Demario Pitts; three others have been injured: Eric Mack, John Robertson, and the third was treated and released.
