Video: Lebron James Officially Wins His Third MVP Award in Four Years, Thanks Fans in Video

The least favorite player over here at Thoughts of a Jeanius, Lebron James, is expected to join the likes of; Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlin, Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, and Moses Malone with three Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards.

This Sunday, before game one of the Miami Heat’s second round series against the Indiana Pacers, Lebron James is set to receive his third MVP award in four seasons.  Love him, or hate him, you can’t deny that he deserves this award. For the 2011-2012 season he averaged; 27.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.9 steal, just under one block per game, and shot a career high 53.1% from the field, that’s one hell of a stat line. Even the biggest Lebron hater, like myself, can’t deny that this award was well deserved. The true test will be if he gets that ring, which is the only thing that everyone is concerned with. With the injuries to Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah, which led to the Chicago Bulls being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, it seems as though the Heat’s path to the finals got that much easier, but we’ll have to watch and see what happens. Either way congrats to, “Prince James,” the ringless King, as ESPN’s Skip Bayless calls him, on his third MVP award.

LeBron James released a short video thanking his fans for the award, check it out below:
