It’s time for New Music Tuesday here at Thoughts of a Jeanius, and my homies Oddz.N.Endz have cooked up another hit for Slim (of 112) which happens to be my favorite R&B group of all time. His new joint is called “Fade Away,” and it is written and produced by Nino & Jay Houston and a “Rack City” Remix featuring Wale, Fabolous, Young Jeezy, Meek Mill, and TI.

Mean Jean’s Pick:

The last song Nino and Jay produced for Slim, was “So Fly,” (ft. Yung Joc), was a top 10 hit back in 2008. This one is a bit slower, and if R&B music still had a place in mainstream music I could definitely see this one getting some airplay. Check it out:

Thee Cody Taylor’s Pick: Tyga “Rack City” (Remix) (Feat. Wale, Fabolous, Young Jeezy, Meek Mill, and T.I.)

This song features some big names in the hip-hop game right now. That Wale verse was classic Wale, not that Ambition Wale. It’s hard to pick a bad verse off of this remix, so I won’t even try. Is it me or are you picturing the kid and the dancing grandma when listening to this song?
