As we come out of the holiday weekend we are getting back to our regular daily grind (at least until the New Year) and today we offer you our picks for New Music Tuesday. My pick is Slim Thug’s “Houston” off of his new mixtape Houston, clever huh? Jean’s pick is Dia Frampton “Don’t Kick the Chair” featuring Kid Cudi.

Thee Cody Taylor’s Pick: Slim Thug – “Houston”

I’ve been kind of out of the loop the past couple of days as far as music goes due to the holidays, but benefited from some of the great people I follow. One of the NFL players I follow gave Slim Thug’s new mixtape a lot of praise so I decided to check it out. This song features Paul Wall and both Paul and Slim kill it, easily making this my new song of the week.

Mean Jean’s Pick: Dia Frampton ft. Kid Cudi – “Don’t Kick the Chair”

NBC’s The Voice, runner-up Dia Frampton is back with a new single, this song isn’t exactly new, I went to Kid Cudi’s website and was pleasantly surprised to see three new songs including this one. Check it out, it’s definitely got a pretty chill vibe to it, like something you can listen to on a nice afternoon chillin’ on a hammoock on the back porch. This song isn’t exactly new, but I heard it for the first time this week.
